Eat Drink KL App: April News & Announcements

Many thanks to everyone who downloaded & used the Eat Drink KL app in March!

For our first operating month, we've managed to raise RM158 for the Dignity For Children foundation, thanks to all your transactions made at restaurants. Every time you visited one of our partner restaurants & used the EDKL app to obtain a discount there, the restaurant contributed RM0.20 to this charitable initiative.

The Dignity For Children foundation has been informed of your contributions & will receive the 158 ringgit by April 14.

We will be maintaining Dignity For Children as our sole beneficiary for April & May, as we'd like to contribute a more significant & encouraging overall total for its cause. Dignity For Children is a Malaysian NGO that helps underprivileged children break the cycle of poverty through education. Read about them at dignityforchildren.org

Over the past month, our small team has also been working to increase the number of restaurants participating in this app. We now have more than 70 restaurants that offer a 6 percent discount to all Eat Drink KL app users, everyday, all day long.

From Subang to Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya to Puchong, Bukit Bintang to Bangsar, Taman Desa to Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Uptown to Damansara Perdana, we now have a wide range of options available, & we will continue to add more!

We're also happy to congratulate app user Mushroom for uploading a photograph she took at Thirdwave in Bangsar South that received the highest number of likes in March. Mushroom has been contacted & will receive a complimentary meal worth up to RM100 at an EDKL restaurant of her choice. Unfortunately, we won't be able to continue this contest from this month onwards, as we're trying to channel our limited funds to the charitable organisations.

Starting this month, users may also notice advertorials in our app news feed; these advertorials are necessary to cover the cost of the app development & maintenance. We're working to make the app use as convenient & bug-free as possible, but for some Android users, you may encounter issues from time to time in your photo uploads. We hope you'll bear with us; for some users, it may help to use your phone's native keyboard instead of a third-party keyboard, especially for logging in.

Again, thank you for using the EDKL app, which aims to promote a positive sense of community for restaurants & restaurant lovers. Thanks for your encouraging feedback for both the restaurants & our app. We really appreciate it, & we hope you will enjoy the rewards offered by our partner restaurants & your experience of using the app.

Every restaurant featured on this app rewards users with a 6 percent discount off their receipts, instantly & conveniently, everyday, all day long, with no advance bookings required. In return, users share photos of their experiences at these restaurants, creating a community of food fans across the Klang Valley.
